A multi-skilled Producer and Director, I’ve worked on a variety of popular fact-ent and prime time formats mostly for the BBC and Channel 4. This includes several new series for which I was responsible for shooting and directing the successful pilot episodes.

Recent projects have included extensive work on the prime time rural and agricultural affairs show ‘Countryfile’ for the BBC as well as working with the talented team on the long-running ‘Animal Park’, filmed at Longleat Safari Park. Both of these involved working with high-profile talent as well as everyday contributors. Prior to this I also spent time on an obs-doc series with presenter Jimmy Doherty, filming him and his team during and after lockdown at his Farm and Wildlife Park in Suffolk.

I’ve also worked extensively on the internationally renowned series 'Escape To The Country’ and her sister shows for BBC1 - scripting, directing and shooting more than fifty episodes over the last few years (60 min and 45min), each time playing to my strengths as a visually creative self-shooter.

This wealth of experience allows me to work easily with on-screen talent and means I’m comfortable directing Presenters and multiple cameras on location, always with the edit in mind. And as an experienced scriptwriter I can write interesting and entertaining v/o and natural-sounding PTCs with ease and pitch my work to suit the presenter and audience, both in and out of the edit. I'm also comfortable interviewing and directing inexperienced contributors as well as professional / celebrity talent, keeping on top of multiple storylines as required.

For further details my full work history can be found on the CV page of this site and there’s also some examples of my shooting and directing on my Portfolio pages.
